This 4 year old irish setter dog,
Best In Show winning
GRAND CH SHELOMITH VICE REGENT,
is one of 4 champions from the same litter bred by
Mrs Edyth Langham-Goodwin OAM (Tasmania).
Hugo is testament to his breeding: handsome and full of quality - as well as being kindly in expression … and from the lines of Greg Browne (Eireannmada) (who is also co-owner) and Carrie Paine (Tullane) you would expect nothing less!
Attendance at shows is not as frequent these days, however, Hugo (now with Gail handling) can still be a force to be reckoned with. In between exhibitions he is also a wonderful ambassador of the breed….. and can be found fine-tuning his ‘rollicking’ and ‘demonstrative affectionate’ ways towards any human and/or dog with whom he associates!
…………In other words, a lovely dog to own.

An irish setter full of quality, most handsome and refined in looks….
First show of 2009 for Hugo
Best Of Breed Irish Setter - South Eastern Kennel Club
Judge : Mr R Natividad (Philippines)
Hugo is exhibited sparingly over the summer months, however,
still manages to impress the overseas and interstate judges when he is out and about.
Fun on the Run
During the last year, Hugo had a forced leave of absence from the showring due to my personal injury. However, after not being campaigned for many months, we can now announce that in the opinion of many international, interstate and local judges this young dog is a worthy recipient of his Australian Grand Champion title! *
*Go to About Judging in Australia for definition
I would like to publicly thank Greg Browne (Eireannmada) who is co-owner/handler and Ty Atkinson (Nauvoo) (handler) both who exhibited Hugo to some very memorable awards. Indeed, I thank from the bottom of my heart the generosity of my friend from Tasmania, Edyth Langham-Goodwin OAM (Shelomith Irish Setters), who gifted Hugo to us.
The show world certainly has given me wonderful moments and enduring friendships…..

Aust Ch Shelomith Vice Regent … Hugo

This lovely young dog attained his Australian Championship by the age of 18 months and along the way he has won numerous Best In Group & In Show awards and continues his winning ways.

Hugo at Irish Setter Club of Victoria’s 2007 Championship Show - aged 3 years
He has also taken out the prestigious
IRISH SETTER CLUB OF VICTORIA’S DOG OF THE YEAR 2006
IRISH SETTER CLUB OF VICTORIA’S DOG OF THE YEAR 2007
This is an award proudly won three times by his great-grandfather Australian Grand Ch Eireannmada At Harvard
As a companion dog, Hugo would win honours in any competition. He has manners, good grace and common sense. However, there is also a fair swag of that rollicking irish personality packed into his strong, sound, V8 frame … and at the press of a button he can turn into the most laid back guy around!
Dreaming ….. again
