As her tears flowed, Rosemary prepared this tribute ~

I loved Zeek from the moment I saw him as a baby and whilst it was not in our plans to have another male at that stage, he just had to come home with me.

He was a winner from his first show and attained 100 points making him an Australian Champion whilst still a puppy.  His first Best in Group came at 12 months & 6 days;   it was just the first of many.  He became a multi Best In Show winner (under Australian & international judges) and though exhibited sparingly, retired with an enviable record, including being Runner-Up Top Dog for Queensland, #3 Irish Setter in Australia, #1 Irish Setter & #6 Gundog in Queensland.

With my short stride I could never show him to his full advantage, so the wins came with Ian. They had such a great rapport in the ring and Zeek loved showing. He had such a presence about him and always performed to the best of his ability.  He was our "once in a lifetime" show dog.   Retired before the introduction of the "Supreme" title, points wise and in our eyes, he was indeed supreme.

Zeek was also a greatly loved member of our household and losing him has left a big hole. It is always hard to say good bye to any of our furkids, but some are just that little bit "special".

We have been lucky enough to have been given some beautiful dogs from Keith McCarthy over the years and I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

In those final seconds Zeek raised his head & looked at me with what I am sure was a final goodbye & thank you for his release.    Rest in peace Zeek.
