Our introduction to the irish setter breed was with Muriwai Kura, who was bred by Peg McDonald.  Then followed Taraglen Shilo from Keith McCarthy.  In March 2006 Ch Brodruggan Dancing Doll (Sian) came to live with us in Torquay, on the Surf Coast Victoria.

Initially, she was purchased as a companion for Taraglen Shilo (Dermott), however, Jayne Stewart, Sian’s breeder insisted the little irish girl be exhibited to her Australian Title.  We had never shown dogs before, so we found the learning curve was steep! 

 

 

 

 

 

Sian achieved her Australian Championship at age 2, after a late start and has continued her show successes.

She is the perfect little setter, who is easy to live with and she has a real sense of humour.

At the end of this year 2009, we hope to breed her ….. another exciting learning experience in store for us!

Our son Steven has now joined us in the pleasure of exhibiting irish setters and has recently titled a young dog he co-owns with us and the breeder, Jayne Stewart (Brodruggan).

Sian has had puppies to Gr Ch Gwyndara Go It Alone (AI) frozen semen!!
